Experimentation is a huge part of my creative process, and painting has been a big part of that experimentation in recent months. I’ve developed a process for myself where I modify photographs until they’re made up of their most basic elements, typically down to anywhere between 2 and 8 colors, then etch them into canvas or wood panels before painting them. These have been an absolute blast to work on!
